Custom trays matter because they keep the gel on your teeth and off your gums, which is the part that goes wrong with one-size-fits-all kits.
Dental bonding is tooth-colored composite shaped and cured directly onto the tooth in a single visit. It’s a good answer for a small chip, a worn edge, or closing a narrow gap between two front teeth. Bonding doesn’t last as long as porcelain and it can pick up stain over the years, but it’s conservative, affordable, and reversible in a way veneers are not. For the right case, it’s the honest recommendation.
How Dr. Palmer Plans a Cosmetic Case
The first visit is mostly conversation. What’s been bothering you, how long it’s been on your mind, what you’ve been told by other dentists, and whether there’s a photo of your teeth from years ago that you’d like to get back to. Dr. Palmer takes photos, looks at the bite, checks the health of the gums and the teeth underneath, and only then starts talking about treatment options. For whitening, you’ll come in for impressions, then back to pick up your custom trays and gel with instructions on how to use them at home. For bonding, the work is typically done in a single appointment, with shaping and polishing finished the same day. For veneers, the planning, preparation, and seating visits are spaced out over several weeks while the lab fabricates the ceramic.
All of this happens in our Eagar office with Dr. Palmer doing the work himself. You aren’t passed between providers and you aren’t sent out of town for the harder parts.
