Dr. Stephen Palmer graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1981 and started practicing the same year. Before settling in the White Mountains, he worked in Phoenix and then in St. Johns, which is where a lot of Round Valley families first met him. In 2002 he acquired the practice in Eagar that is now Round Valley Smiles, and he has been seeing patients in this office ever since.
What that means in practical terms is continuity. The same dentist who treated a cavity for you in 2005 is the one talking through a crown with you today. He has watched kids grow up, go off, come back with their own kids, and sit in the same chair. That kind of history is hard to put on a resume, but it changes how appointments feel.

Dr. Palmer earned his dental degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1981. In 1997 he completed the Advanced Level Program in Esthetic Dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, which is the training that informs how he approaches whitening cases.
He also takes continuing education every year. Not because a license requires a certain minimum, but because dentistry in 2026 is not the same dentistry he learned in 1981, and the materials, bonding agents, and imaging tools keep getting better. That habit shows up in the work, especially in cases, where the technology has changed a lot in the last decade.
